A useful little booklet with many references to recent research, it addresses the issues:

The report explores the experience of men within families and argues that they have been unjustly excluded from roles they are able and willing to fulfil. It claims that fathers should be seen as more than breadwinners, and that given the chance they can be active, caring parents, no less able than women to perform the intimate day-to-day tasks of parenting. It highlights the fact that increased participation by men in the care and upbringing of children will mean rethinking motherhood as well as fatherhood. The booklet explores some of the key areas for public policy:
